Dr. Couden earned his degree in medicine in 1996 from the University of Tennessee at Memphis. He completed his residency at Medical University of South Carolina with the Department of Radiology and later completed his fellowship in Interventional Radiology also at Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Couden is board certified with the American Board of Radiology, holds a Certificate of Additional Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, and is a member of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the American College of Radiology (ACR), and the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR). Before attending medical school, Dr. Couden received a Bachelor’s degree in biology from Rhodes College in Memphis, where he was also Captain of the soccer team.
Dr. Couden enjoys spending time with his wife, Allison, and his two children, Courtney and Drew. In addition to coaching his kids’ soccer teams, he spends time sailing, running, and swimming.
