As a board-certified diagnostic and interventional radiologist, Dr. Bernhard earned his doctorate of medicine in 2008 from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He completed his residency, and subsequent fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Prior to medical school, Dr. Bernhard earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Haverford College in Haverford, PA.
Dr. Bernhard is board certified by the American Board of Radiology with a certificate of added qualification (CAQ) in vascular and interventional radiology by the Society of Interventional Radiology. He holds memberships in the Radiology Society of North America (RSNA), American College of Radiology (ACR), American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), and Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR).
In his free time, Dr. Bernhard enjoys traveling with his significant other, Christina, playing with their dog Sadie, being outdoors as much as possible, squash (the sport, not the vegetable), cooking, reading postmodern fiction, live music, and contemporary art.
