Dr. Wunder graduated as a University Scholar, with a BS in Chemistry, from the University of South Dakota where he also attended medical school. He received his training in diagnostic radiology at the University of Tennessee at Memphis, where he was Chief Resident. Following his residency, Dr. Wunder continued at the University of Tennessee at Memphis to complete an Interventional Radiology fellowship. He holds a certificate of added qualification in Vascular and Interventional radiology.
Dr. Wunder is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and holds a membership in the Society of Interventional Radiology and served on their Standards of Practice Committee; Dr. Wunder has served on numerous hospital and organizational committees over the years, striving to advance the quality of interventional and diagnostic radiology. Dr. Wunder has been honored to serve as radiology chief of several hospitals for Advanced Diagnostic Imaging and recognized as a co-investigator in the Distal Protection Carotid stent trial.
Dr. Wunder and his wife, Melinda, have a wonderful blended family of 5 boys. They have interests ranging from adolescent technology endeavors to hunting and fishing. In his free time, Dr. Wunder enjoys farming, Angus beef production, raising miniature cows, scuba diving, beach vacations with family, walleye and deep sea fishing.
